1. Be nice. Be respectful. Be polite. The staff works hard to make The Roaring Tides a safe and happy place for Warriors fans to roleplay. Treat others how you'd like to be treated in return; it's as simple as that. Be respectful of the mods and staff of TRT, and do as they say. If you find anyone breaking the rules with no staff in sight, screenshot it and PM it to one of the mods or admins on the site and WE will take care of it. Anyone on the staff team, or anyone with a higher rank than you is in a position to tell you what to do and what not to do. If you witness any high rankers mistreating their power please inform either of the administrators and we will work everything out.
2. Literacy is important in this roleplay. We would like you to write as if you're writing a novel, with smooth sentences, and proper grammar, capitalization and punctuation. On a side note, those who are roleplaying with themselves or just sitting around camp and waiting for someone to approach them first will most likely be nudged from time to time. It's unfair to others to constantly have to roleplay to one particular person first to be able to roleplay with them. Relationships within roleplays are important and you're encouraged to go out and form some for your character! Alongside literacy, please don't post cut, it's very annoying when people have been holding posts for a long time and others just decide to enter theirs willy nilly. Roleplaying will always be done in local unless a special event or gathering is taking place.
3. Realism is a floppy subject when it comes to Warriors roleplay, as most groups are very lenient and some are unrealistic [not to knock on them in any way]. However The Roaring Tides is a realistic roleplay, with a sizing chart, a proper naming guide, and character guidelines. Items will be restricted from this roleplay, and the recruiter will most likely privately ask you to remove them prior to joining.
4. Activity is extremely important in roleplays, how will your character gain relationships and experience without any activity? It's required you get on at least twice a week, for at least half an hour at a time. If you have plans to go away for a while, or you're just unable to reach FeralHeart, don't be afraid to post a notice on our forums! If you aren't active for three weeks, you may risk being kicked from your Clan! However, you may be able to re-join if you promise to be more active!
5. Swearing is alright in this roleplay, however it's recommended you don't have your characters swear, as the Clan cats in the book used their own set of curses. Swearing in local within any public maps is unacceptable and you might end up with a strike. Make sure to keep your naughty words in private chats.
6. TRIGGER WARNING [rape mention, mental disorders, etc]
8. The maximum number for characters is three, and you can have all them in either Clan. It's just preferred you stick mostly to your main character that you joined with; however it's possible to change it to another character of yours if you manage to keep active. High ranks are allowed to have the same amount, but if they fail to continue to be active on their high ranked character they will either be asked to remove a character, or step down from their high rank and be replaced.
9. Please register on the site with your FeralHeart USERNAME. It makes it easier for us to contact you if needed. If you register with something other than your username, we may ask you to delete your account and register on the site again, so please make sure to use your username.
1. IC means IN CHARACTER. And disputes, arguments, fights, and so on that happen within the roleplay are to be kept IN CHARACTER. Additional drama is unnecessary; we're all here for the same thing, to roleplay. It's unfair if OOC bonds are broken because of something that happened inside the roleplay.
2. The warrior code is set to be followed by the members, breaking them and becoming a rebel from time to time does add fun to the roleplay! However, it is possible to overdo it a bit, and we ask that you refrain from breaking them every single time you roleplay.
3. Minor plots should be run by the admins before any action is taken on them. This includes forbidden romance [both from different Clans, or including a medicine cat]! It's fun to be a part of a plot, but everything is a lot better if the staff team has an idea of what's going on. Plot suggestions are welcome to the staff team! You may PM any admins about it, or post in the OOC Boards.
4. When creating your character, keep in mind that The Roaring Tides takes place in the 1860's. There are a few breeds that didn't exist at the time, so make sure to keep it accurate!
5. Due to our story line, we do not accept loners. The only way to own a non-Clan cat is if your character was exiled from their Clan, and we would prefer if you didn't have your character start out as an exiled rogue. A side note; all exiled cats usually keep their warrior names, since they are unfamiliar with a regular naming system [ex. renaming your exiled cat "Michael" or "Sarah"]. If you are going to rename them, it's possible they'd shorten their name to only their prefix. Please don't give your cat a loner backstory either, it'd be unrealistic for them to have been a loner and "find" the Clans.
6. 'Mating counts' in character biographies are considered inappropriate and are not acceptable within The Roaring Tides, you will most likely be asked to remove it by a staff member.
7. During the roleplay, if anything inappropriate comes up [such as mating or giving birth], you will be asked to move it into a private chat if you choose to roleplay it out, please know that you always have the opportunity to pass if you feel uncomfortable roleplaying certain subjects.

6. TRIGGER WARNING [rape mention, mental disorders, etc]
It is never okay to joke about things people might be sensitive to. Jokes and references made to rape, sexual harassment, mental disorders and illnesses, suicide, self harm, etc. will NOT be tolerated under any circumstances. Additionally, we would prefer if you didn't give your characters mental illnesses, as they are very real and very serious things that are not to be slapped on to roleplay characters for the hell of it. If you do decide to do this, it's recommended you ask a staff member about it first, and remember to do your research. And, while we're on the topic, anyone found harassing another member for anything such as race, sexual orientation or gender identity will be warned by a staff member.
7. The Roaring Tides uses a three strike system; three strikes and you're out of the roleplay. If you happened to be kicked, please leave without causing anything further, and uninstall the map from your FeralHeart. If anyone is found using the map, or distributing it for other uses a staff member of FeralHeart will be contacted.8. The maximum number for characters is three, and you can have all them in either Clan. It's just preferred you stick mostly to your main character that you joined with; however it's possible to change it to another character of yours if you manage to keep active.
